|Engine Type||Hybrid - Petrol|
The Mercedes-Benz S Class S560e comes with a hybrid engine which offers to the manufacturers' customers the best of both worlds.
For long journeys, they can use the powerful combustion engine and when in the city or for short trips, they can use the battery-powered engine.
The S Class S560e will sprint from 0-62 mph in 5.0 seconds with a limited speed of 155 mph. The electric motor will offer a range of about 50 kilometres with a top speed of 80 mph.
The battery will take about five hours to charge, from 0% to 100%. A fast charging option is also available with a dedicated wallbox and will recharge the car in an hour and a half.
Drivers will feel a variable level of resistance when pressing on the accelerator pedal when driving electric, indicating the electric output that is being delivered and when the combustion engine takes over the electric engine. If the driver presses the pedal beyond a certain point of what the electric engine can deliver, the car will automatically switch to the combustion engine.
While driving the car, the transition from petrol power to the electric engine will feel almost seamless for maximum driving comfort.
Choosing hybrid will not mean compromising on the quality expected of a Mercedes-Benz car. As expected, the interior is modern, luxurious and opulent with an impressing dashboard and advanced infotainment screen.
Drivers and passengers will benefit from the extended pre-entry climate control that will adjust the air-conditioning and heating in advance based on the entered departure time via Mercedes Me, the intelligent interior computer for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
