How paying for a car in crypto works:
- Send us your enquiry by completing the form below on this page. Please let us know the exact vehicle you require and where in the world it's going, and we'll prepare your quote. We can only deal with buyers who have locked in a particular vehicle model(s) with a clear idea of specification so as to speed up the pricing process for you.
- We will then send you a secure BitPay invoice. When you're ready to pay, we issue an official BitPay invoice and a secure payment link for the agreed amount.
- You will then need to pay from your own crypto wallet. Open the invoice we provide, choose your cryptocurrency and pay directly from your wallet. BitPay locks the exchange rate for a short window at the moment the invoice is issued, so the amount is fixed while you pay.
- We then confirm and proceed with your order. Once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, BitPay settles it and we move ahead with your order and export.
- You only ever pay through the official BitPay link we send you. We never take cryptocurrency sent directly to a wallet address, and we never hold or store crypto ourselves as BitPay processes and settles every payment as the regulated provider.

1. Can I buy a car from Import Marques with cryptocurrency?
Yes. We accept cryptocurrency for vehicle purchases, processed securely through BitPay, a regulated crypto payment provider. We never take crypto directly or hold it ourselves. Every crypto payment goes through an official BitPay invoice.
2. How does paying with cryptocurrency work?
We send you a secure BitPay invoice, which is a payment link. You pay it from your own crypto wallet, BitPay handles the conversion and settlement, and once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain we proceed with your order. 3. Do I need to verify my identity to pay in crypto?
Yes. To pay a BitPay invoice you will create or log into a BitPay account and complete a one-time identity verification called BitPay ID. This involves your details, an identity document and a selfie. BitPay is legally required to do this, and once you are verified you can pay directly. It protects both you and us.
4. Do I need to do anything with BitPay before you prepare my quote?
Yes. To confirm you are ready to pay in cryptocurrency, we ask for a small verification payment of around US$20 via a BitPay invoice before we prepare your quote. Paying it means you have completed BitPay's identity verification and have a funded crypto wallet, so we can take your request forward with confidence. The US$20 is non-refundable, but it is fully redeemable against your vehicle purchase when you proceed.
5. Does Import Marques advise buyers on which car to choose?
Please tell us the exact vehicle you are interested in. Import Marques is a car procurement specialist for worldwide export buyers, not a car advisory service, so we need the specific make, model and specification you want before we can prepare a quote. Once we know exactly what you are looking for and your destination country, we source the vehicle, arrange VAT-free export where it applies, and handle worldwide shipping to your port.
6. Which cryptocurrencies and wallets can I use?
BitPay supports a wide range of major cryptocurrencies and over 100 popular wallets (plus WalletConnect). For a smooth payment, we recommend paying from your own wallet rather than directly from a crypto exchange account, which can sometimes cause payment errors. We will confirm the exact coins available for your payment when we send your invoice.
7. Is the exchange rate fixed when I pay?
Yes. BitPay locks the crypto exchange rate for a short window of around 15 minutes each time an invoice is issued, so the amount is fixed at the moment you pay. If the window passes, we simply re-issue the invoice at the current rate.
8. How do I know the payment link is genuine?

If you are looking for a car from stock, we will try our best to source a vehicle that meets your criteria with regards to specifications such as electric sunroof or alloy wheels. We supply RHD cars for countries that drive on the left (UK, East Africa, New Zealand etc), and LHD cars for countries that drive on the right. At all times we will provide you with pricing according to the correct drive side, for either brand new vehicles from stock or a new build to your own choice of specification.What are the vehicle order options open for buyers?
We can provide you with brand new vehicles, from stock or to your own custom specification, and low mileage vehicle examples. Some countries have specific import criteria on whether used vehicles can be imported, but we will review all scenarios when an enquiry is made.Do our cars have VAT or tax included when we export them?
Our vehicles are quoted to buyers as VAT-free exports, so no local EU, US or UK tax is included. You will pay your local taxes and duties in your country of destination when the vehicle arrives there.How is the car shipped to my country?
We arrange fully insured sea freight, with air freight available on request, and can quote on a CIF basis (cost, insurance and freight to your port) or CFR basis (cost and freight). We prepare the export documents, including the commercial invoice and bill of lading, and arrange any pre-shipment roadworthiness inspection your country requires. Customs clearance and registration are completed in your country on arrival, either by yourself or, in certain regions, with local import assistance we can arrange. Most buyers pay by international bank transfer (TT) when the car is ready for export, and we can also work with a letter of credit where applicable. We quote in GBP, USD or EUR. Yes. Independent dealerships and other trade buyers around the world purchase the latest model year vehicles from us for our transparent export prices, and of course we supply private buyers too. Yes.
