Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid

The Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid combines premium Scandinavian luxury with the practicality of a spacious seven-seat SUV. The plug-in hybrid powertrain allows the XC90 to travel over 70km (43 miles) using electric power alone, making it ideal for everyday journeys while retaining a petrol engine for longer-distance driving. The T8 powertrain can also combine petrol and electric power to provide strong performance and constant all-wheel drive when required.

Inside, the XC90 offers seating for up to seven passengers within a refined and practical cabin. The updated interior features a contemporary Scandinavian design with premium materials, improved storage space and enhanced interior illumination. Ride comfort has also been improved, with adaptive dampers fitted as standard, while the optional air suspension can lower the vehicle by 20mm or raise it by 40mm depending on driving conditions. Additional sound insulation helps to further reduce wind and road noise for a quieter driving experience.

Technology-wise, the Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid features a new larger, higher-resolution central touchscreen, providing access to navigation, entertainment, vehicle functions and a wide range of apps. The system also supports regular over-the-air software updates, helping to keep the vehicle's technology up to date. An optional Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity audio system is also available for customers looking for a premium in-car entertainment experience.

Safety remains one of the XC90's strongest features. Using a combination of radar and camera technology, the vehicle can detect other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and large animals and provide braking or steering assistance to help avoid a collision. The system can also detect when the vehicle begins to drift towards oncoming traffic or leave the road and provide steering assistance to help keep the XC90 safely within its lane.
