Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Review

The new Porsche Cayenne Hybrid comes with a highly efficient electrical engine with an increase of around 30% more battery capacity when compared with the previous Porsche Cayenne model.

The driver now has more control over his/her driving experience with various driving modes such as E-Power, Hybrid Auto, Sport and Sport Plus made available with the emphasis on performance for the road. The Sports Chrono Package is now standard on the Cayenne E-Hybrid.  

The efficiency focused E-Power and Hybrid Auto modes contrast performance based Sport and Sport Plus modes which are linked to the Sports Chrono Package.   

The recharging time will vary depending on the driving mode chosen; For sport and sport plus mode, virtually all the battery’s energy can be used for a boost. For the other modes, only a limited amount of energy is available for boosting to support efficient driving.

The new Porsche Cayenne hybrid brings a larger range of comfort and innovative options to the entire Cayenne series; Cayenne buyers will be able to enjoy new head-up display, intelligent digital co-pilot Porsche InnoDrive including adaptive cruise control with active lane guidance, massage seats, the heated windscreen, independent heating with remote control and 22-inch light metal wheels.

Porsche has redesigned the Cayenne E-Hybrid's drive train with the new Tiptronic S gearbox which has been developed for the entire Cayenne range with eight speeds available. The automatic gearbox not only offers even more comfortable and smoother starting but also significantly speeds up gear switching from the driver. 

New wheel designs are offered to sport-s focused Cayenne drivers with a 21-inch wheel size – available only with the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid - and 22-inch Cayenne Sport Classic wheel.
