The New Porsche 911

The eighth generation of the Porsche 911 has arrived; codename ‘992’. The new car will offer two models both coming with incredible speed and luxurious interior and exterior design.

The previous Porsche 911 model offers a seven-speed transmission. With the new Porsche 911 Carrera S and 911 Carrera 4S, owners will use an eight-speed dual clutch transmission. The new transmission will improve driving comfort, car performance and efficiency. Drivers will be surprised to see the first gear being shorter and the eight gear being longer than before.

Like most manufacturers now, Porsche has extended its safety features and comfort options in this new car version.

• The 911 is the first in the world to use an innovative new safety system recognising the level of wetness on the road and recommending to manually switch to a Wet driving mode.
• Also fitted as standard, the Brake Assist system will detect the risks of collisions and inform the driver first with a warning sign and sound. And if necessary, emergency braking will be activated.
• Adaptive Cruise Control will make sure the distance between cars is kept to a safety zone.
• The new optimal LED matrix headlights will make sure the driver has maximum illumination of the road without dazzling other road users.
• Night Vision Assists will also greatly help when driving in night condition. It will use intelligent thermal imaging camera detecting animals up to a range of 300 meters. This system will be deactivated in build-up areas to avoid any false warnings such as a dog on the pavement.

With a revamped exhaust system, the new Porsche 911 will offer an attractive sound experience.

And with twelve speakers and a total output of 570 watts, the optional BOSE® Surround Sound-System offers an extremely balanced and true sound experience.
