With the latest Mercedes Benz S500 model, modern automotive luxury has reached a new level. With major digital innovations such as in MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) and E-Active Body Control which provides a high level of suspension and ride comfort, the S500 is the model to beat.
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the new S-Class saloon, the S500, self-described as the most technically advanced car that Mercedes Benz has even built.
Since the launch of the S-Class generation, more than 500,000 vehicles have been sold globally.
This modern, luxurious and iconic vehicle reaches new levels of performance. The new model has undoubtly become more intelligent in many areas thanks to the latest digital experience and the impressive technical innovations.
At launch, the Mercedes-Benz S500 range will come with six-cylinder in-line petrol and diesel engines. A plug-in hybrid version will follow with an electric range of 100 km.
The new S-class will have innovative safety equipment and futuristic features including the 3D gauge cluster, the massive OLED touchscreen and rear-wheel steering for better maneuverability.
Mercedes-Benz has always focused on making driving safer and this version is no exception. The car comes with an active air suspension that keeps passengers safer in the event of a collision. The car also includes large airbags covering the side windows that can be triggered in situations like lateral collisions or a rollover.
The driver display and media display offer a comprehensive aesthetic experience. The appearance of the screens can be individualized with a choice of four display styles (Discreet, Sporty, Exclusive, Classic) and three modes (Navigation, Assistance, Service).
Mercedes-Benz has now realized interactive interior lighting for the first time. The active ambient lighting (optional) is now integrated into the driving assistance systems and is able to reinforce alerts visually.
