Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid

The new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is highly advanced, with a digitalised display and control concept, new chassis concept, and meanwhile remains to be the sportiest car in its segment.

Within the new Porsche Cayenne, both drivers and passengers are introduced to an entirely fresh cockpit design. This innovative layout seamlessly blends an intensified focus on the driver's experience with novel interactive elements that also elevate the journey for passengers. One highlight is the transformation of the instrument cluster into a fully digital, standalone 12.6-inch curved display, elegantly devoid of the need for a conventional hood cover, thereby lending it a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. In line with Porsche's distinctive design language, this element claims its position as the apex of the dashboard's elevation. Depending on the chosen equipment level, drivers can opt from an array of up to seven distinct views on the instrument cluster.  The rev counter, map navigation, Night Vision Assist or 3D driver assistance system can all be selected to be in the foreground. A minimalistic view and a classic version are also available, of which the latter transports the normal Porsche five-gauge instrument cluster design into the digital age.

The latest Cayenne iteration boasts a particularly dynamic and athletic demeanor. An updated front end coupled with more pronounced and curvaceous wings, a fresh hood design, and technologically advanced headlights collaboratively accentuate the car's expansive stance. The rear of the new Cayenne is marked by intricately designed three-dimensional taillights, sleek and unadorned surfaces, and a novel rear bumper that seamlessly incorporates the number plate holder. The expanded range of available colors, featuring three new additions, along with lightweight sports packages capable of shedding up to 33 kilograms for the Cayenne Coupé, and an extensive selection of 20-, 21-, and 22-inch wheels, empowers customers to tailor the new Cayenne to their distinctive preferences, both aesthetically and dynamically.

In Europe, the new Cayenne is making its inaugural appearance with a trio of distinct engine variations. An extensively upgraded rendition of Porsche's 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine takes the place of the previous V6 engine in the new Cayenne S. Exhibiting a robust peak power of 349 kW (equivalent to 474 PS) and a torque output of 600 Nm - 25 kW (34 PS), 50 Nm more compared to its forerunner - it accelerates both the SUV and the SUV Coupé from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. This revamped engine ensures an impressive top speed of 273 km/h. On the entry level, the introduction to the realm of Cayenne is heralded by an enhanced 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine. Presently, this powerplant delivers an output of 260 kW (equivalent to 353 PS) and a torque of 500 Nm, signifying an enhancement of 10 kW (13 PS) and 50 Nm over its previous iteration.

The foundation of the Cayenne E-Hybrid's powertrain is also established on the six-cylinder engine. This engine is paired with a freshly introduced electric motor, boasting an amplified output of 30 kW, bringing it to 130 kW (equivalent to 176 PS). The cumulative power output surges to 346 kW (470 PS). Complementing this setup is a high-capacity high-voltage battery, expanded from 17.9 kWh to 25.9 kWh, facilitating an extended electric-only range of up to 90 kilometers (EAER City), contingent on the chosen equipment level. A novel 11 kW on-board charger substantially reduces charging times at suitable power sources to under two and a half hours.
