• DO WE SUPPLY RIGHT HAND DRIVE (RHD) VEHICLES TO BUYERS IN TANZANIA ? 
  Yes, our vehicles are supplied conforming to RHD which is the standard in Tanzania (steering wheel on the right side). We supply brand new and slightly used vehicles with mileage.   
• HOW IS A VEHICLE ENQUIRY MADE ?

At all times we kindly request you have all your desired vehicle requirements ready in terms of Make, Model and any optional extras required to help speed up the process.   All vehicles must go through an inspection by a TBS approved agent  (which we manage with QISJ). This produces a Certificate of Roadworthiness required for customs clearance at Dar es Salaam — no inspection will mean no customs clearance is possible. Rest assured this is something we will handle for you.
• HOW ARE THE VEHICLES SHIPPED TO DAR ES SALAAM PORT ?
  We ship our cars to Tanzania using insured 20ft container for a single vehicle or 40ft container if there are more. RORO shipping is available on request in certain situations but container is the more usual method. 
• IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR IMPORTING A VEHICLE INTO TANZANIA ?
  Yes, Tanzania enforces an 8-year age limit (from year of manufacture to arrival at Dar es Salaam). Vehicles older than 8 years are not accepted and would have to be re-exported, so we only source vehicles within the 8-year window for Tanzania
• WHAT TAXES ARE DUE WHEN THE VEHICLE LANDS IN TANZANIA ?
  Import taxes are assessed by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) on the CIF value (the cost of the vehicle plus insurance and freight). The main charges are import duty (flat 25%) and excise duty which rises with the vehicle's engine size and its age followed by VAT at 18%, plus smaller statutory levies. Larger-engined and older vehicles therefore cost more to customs clear. As the exact rates depend on your specific vehicle and can change, we give you a full, itemised landed-cost quote up front and confirm the current TRA rates, so you know the total before you commit — no surprises on arrival.
  
• ARE WE ABLE TO PROVIDE LOCAL ASSISTANCE THERE WHEN THE VEHICLE ARRIVES IN DAR ES SALAAM ? 
  Yes, we have our own local agent that can assist you with the importation process and Customs clearance steps when the vehicle lands in Dar es Salaam. This is something that can be discussed further with one of our team.

5. QISJ Inspection: To comply with the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) requirements, your vehicle will undergo a roadworthiness inspection with QISJ. This quick process ensures your vehicle meets all Tanzanian regulations and standards before it is shipped.
6. Sea Freight & Delivery to You: Vessels depart from the UK to Tanzania every 1-2 weeks, with the sea journey taking approximately 30 days. Once the car arrives at Dar es Salaam (TZDAR), we can arrange for it to be delivered to your desired location in Tanzania, providing you with a seamless experience from start to finish.
